These new Blogger templates have been designed by me
just for practice - and you can use them for free.
They may not all be totally perfect - but any
of the colour schemes can easily
be changed using Blogger's
Template Designer.
There are simple instructions at the end
on how to install a new theme.

To use these, or any template designs you should download and save the XML file to a folder on your computer - then upload it to the Blogger Designer - following the simple steps explained below.
HOW TO INSTALL A NEW THEME TEMPLATE
The look, theme, and layout of the blog page is set out in an XML code document - and it's a simple matter to swap them over - and as often as you like.
None of your Headings, Text, or Posts will be altered in any way - other than the way they appear in the new layout of the page. The fonts and sizes, are unaltered. I have based these new ones on the 'Simple' Template provided by Blogger - and really have just changed the background image - and the colour scheme - so in all other respects the same original 'Simple' 2 column layout Template is unchanged.
To change the XML template file - is really just a couple of clicks - and it's done.
Go to the 'Designer' button at the top right of the Blogger Bar.
When the next page appears click here on the 'Edit Html' Tab.
You're half way there already.
Now do the following as below:
SAVE your current template - then UPLOAD a new one.
THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT - the second that new template is uploaded it will replace the XML code - and as soon as you click the bottom orange SAVE TEMPLATE button - the blog will be altered and a new page will appear telling you it was changed.
You can then view the new look blog.
If you want to go back to the old one - just do the same again:
Designer > Edit Html > Browse & Upload the old XML file you saved from before - then when you click the orange SAVE the current template - the blog will be back exactly as it was before.
If you have other Template XML files - you can change the look of the blog easily and as many different times as you like.
That's how I've tested these new look designs - by simply re-doing them on this page - and saving each one as an XML template - - and I've then changed them over, again and again - - - it's really easy.
Try it - you won't lose anything - and you can just go back anytime.
